A nationally acclaimed convenience store company headquartered in Savannah, Parker’s Kitchen was recently named to the USA TODAY Top Workplaces 2024 list, identifying the popular chain founded by Greg Parker as one of the best places to work in the nation. The list features companies that have created exceptional, people-first work environments. The 2024 Top Workplaces awards program utilized feedback from 1,075 Parker’s Kitchen employee surveys to determine that the convenience store ranked No. 91 overall on the list.

This award is especially meaningful as we continue to expand our corporate footprint while deepening our commitment to creating professional, rewarding environments in every community Parker’s Kitchen serves.”
[PARKER’S KITCHEN]According to a USA TODAY story announcing the 2024 winners, “more than 7,000 employers nationwide were invited to take the challenge and 2,227 followed through with an employee survey process. Ultimately, 1,531 employers received recognition.”
The Parker’s press release details some of the company’s key employment highlights.
“Parker’s Kitchen employs more than 1,360 professionals throughout Georgia and South Carolina and offers free childcare, paid time off (PTO) starting on day one, a daily pay option, as well as highly competitive pay and benefits. Approximately 85 percent of Parker’s Kitchen Store Managers, District Leaders and Corporate Support Team members have been promoted from within.”
Parker’s Kitchen has been recognized as one of the “Best Places to Work in South Carolina” by SC Biz News and was named the Convenience Store Chain of the Year by Convenience Store Decisions. Food and Wine has previously named Parker’s as one of America’s Best Convenience Stores and Convenience Store News tabbed it as a Convenience Foodservice Leader of the Year. Founded in 1976, Parker’s Kitchen was voted the No. 4 Best Gas Station for food and No. 6 Best Gas Station Brand by USA TODAY readers in 2023.
