Watch A Man Get Into Disney’s Magic Kingdom Using A 46-Year-Old Ticket

A man recently used a 46-year-old ticket to get into Disney World‘s Magic Kingdom.

In a now-viral TikTok video, Matthew Ables said what he thought was an “old family keepsake” turned out to be valid.

In the video, Ables explains that the one-day pass, which was purchased in 1978 for $8, had been “collecting dust” since before he was born. But upon further inspection, he discovered that it was actually a “golden ticket” to the Florida theme park

“I realized it had never been used and there is no expiration date,” he said in the video, which currently boasts more than 8.8 million views.

Curious to see if Disney World would still honor the ticket, Ables flew to Orlando to try his luck.

“I was getting nervous there because she started aggressively stamping ‘void’ all over the ticket booklet and then left,” he says in the video. Fortunately, the employee came back with a yellow pass to the park, granting him admission to Magic Kingdom for the day.

“I can’t believe this actually worked!” Ables exclaims.

Today, that same ticket costs more than 20 times more. A single-day ticket to Magic Kingdom currently costs as much as $164.

What a deal!
