Nirmooha explores identity through hand embroidery and botanical imagery at Lakmé Fashion Week x FDCI

“Nirmooha showcased the Ekatra collection this season at Lakmé Fashion Week in partnership with FDCI,” said Prreeti Jaiin Nainutia in a press release. “It was inspired by the abstract elements in nature, like leaf patterns, prints and motifs. We have come up with a very interesting prints that have a bunch of leaves and asymmetric patterns in them.”
 
The collection had a colour palette of grey, peach, and rust and featured intricate 3D embroidery, which has become a signature of the brand. Textiles used in the collection included glass organza, georgette, chiffon, lurex fabric, and linen which gave garments a light and airy feel. 

“As always, we are very grateful to the Lakmé Fashion Week x FDCI team,” said Jaiin Nainutia. “They are very supportive in a way; they make it very easy for us to showcase. From the day of the show allotment, the fittings, the backstage, to the show happening, we are very thankful to them.”
 
Lakmé Fashion Week x FDCI ran at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai from March 13 to 17 and featured a mix of runway shows, panel discussions, and design awards. The fashion week took place with support from Reliance Industries Limited and featured brands including Rahul Mishra, Essé, and Itrh among others.
