2 men stabbed in ‘terror attack’ at Israeli mall

NEW DELHI: Two people were injured after being stabbed in a suspected “terror attack” at an Israeli mall on Wednesday, reported news agency Reuters.
The Israeli police said the attacker was killed after the attempted fatal attack at a mall in northern Israel‘s Karmiel.
The Medics team that attended the injured — both in their 20s — said one of the two men has sustained serious injuries, while the other is fully conscience.
Video footage from the scene that was shared on social media and seen by Reuters showed two men lying motionless on the floor of the mall while people tried to give them urgent medical care.
At least one of the men receiving care was wearing a green uniform, the video showed. A third man, not in uniform, was lying motionless a short distance away. No one was administering care to him, reported Reuters.
Meanwhile, no one has taken responsibility for the attack.
Israel is conducting a military offensive in Gaza as a response to a bloody Hamas-led attack on southern Israel on October 7 last year.
The violence has also been escalating in the Israeli-occupied West Bank, with increased Israeli military raids, settler violence, and Palestinian street attacks.
In January, a Palestinian ramming attack in central Israel killed one woman and injured 12 others.
Israeli forces carried out the new military assault in the southern city of Rafah amid fierce fighting with Palestinian militants overnight. At least 12 people were killed in new strikes in central and northern Gaza, health officials said.
