Biden: Biden operates fine between 10-4; debate was too late: Aides

Joe Biden‘s aides have now come up with a new defense for Biden’s sloppy, unintelligible debate against Donald Trump in the first presidential face-off ahead of the election saying that the debate timing was not right for 81-year-old Biden. Axios cited Biden’s aides who said there are two Joe Bidens and the debate night saw only one. From 10 am to 4 pm, Biden is “dependably engaged” and most of his public events are held during those hours.Outside of that time range or while traveling abroad, Biden is more likely to have verbal miscues and become fatigued, aides told Axios.
The debate night was not the first time that Biden’s health issue was raised. But it became a concern so much so that Democrats spoke about changing the candidate after the first debate. Biden himself acknowledged that his performance was not good and said he could not debate as good as he used to but he knows his job. “I don’t walk as easy as I used to, I don’t speak as smoothly as I used to, I don’t debate as well as I used to,” he said in North Carolina hours after the debate debacle.
“…But I know how to tell the truth. I know right from wrong. And I know how to do this job, I know how to get things done.”
While serious concerns were raised as to whether Biden was suffering from any grave health issue like Parkinson’s, White House said Biden had cold dismissing any possibility of Biden opting out of the contest.
