Israeli prime minister, military spokesman at odds over Hamas comments

There appears to be a growing rift between Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and a top Israeli military official. This comes after Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari, a spokesman for the Israel Defense Forces, cast doubt on completely eradicating the Hamas militant group, one of Netanyahu’s main objectives for the war in Gaza.
